In one of the more unexpected stories about prostitues I’ve ever read, Germany has a program to re-train prostitues to be elderly care workers. It would be an understatement to say that this represents perhaps the weirdest career path of all time. But I particularly like the reason that they think it will work:

…prostitutes have “good people skills,” aren’t easily disgusted and have “zero fear of contact.”
