Playboy magazine has sent some photographers to Baylor University in the hopes of finding hot chicks. In response, the University is warning students that they could be expelled if they pose for the mag – even if its not in the nude.

Vivid is going to start offering downloadable movies that can be burned to a DVD and watched on a TV.

…allow consumers to copy digital movies for backup use. Those copies will be software protected so they can not be burned onto DVD discs and replayed on DVD players.

Vivid’s move to enable viewers to burn the films onto a DVD for about $19.95 apiece and then be able to watch them on the TV marks a first for Hollywood.

“With this, we’re giving users the ability to download and burn a movie. And not just a movie, but all the things that come along with a standard DVD, like menus, graphics, art,” said Bill Asher, co-chief executive officer and co-owner of Vivid.

I continue to be suprised by the popularity of ‘mobile porn’. The screen sizes are just too small for it to interest me. But, according to Google-connected researchers, mobile users search for porn at twice the rate that non-mobile users do.

Less than 10 percent of all searches done on PCs these days are porn scavenger hunts, a number that is down 50 percent from 1997. As the Web has matured and more consumers have come online, porn’s percentage of searches has consistently dropped. On mobile phones, though, users are still partying like it’s 1997 – more than 20 percent of all mobile queries looked at in the study were for “adult” content.

The case for why porn needs to be part of sex ed. Their specific desire is to develop new classes that look at the impact on porn in society rather than integrating it into existing sexuality classes.

I suppose this is a fine idea, but the possibility of the class getting extremely political (depending on the professor).

Indonesia is asking Playboy to delay the release of its next issue because of all the violence and protests that have broken out there since they released their first issue (with no nudity). The control being exerted/granted to the violent fringe has got to cease. We simply cannot continue to allow violence, or the threat thereof, to censor what we say, draw and publish.

Comedy Central hasn’t learned this yet. They are about to get more bad publicity in the next week than they’ve had in their entire existence after censoring South Park’s attempt to show an image of Mohammad (the same episode had no problems showing Jesus defecating) due to being scared of violence from Muslims.

Lovely. So to get them to back down from criticizing your particular interest group (gays, mormons, communists, whatever), all you have to do is to convince Comedy Central that they might face violence if they cross you. What kind of behavior is that encouraging?

British researchers have developed a mathematical formula to determine just how great of an ass you have. The formula is (S+C) x (B+F) / (T-V). Definitions of each variable are below:

First, a woman assesses her assets on a scale from 1 to 20 (1 being worst and 20 best) in the following categories:

* S = overall shape (a ripe peach being just about right)

* C = circularity (rounder is better)

* B = bounciness (less wobble is preferred)

* F = firmness (too much push to that cushion loses points)

* T = skin texture (no cellulite, please)

* V = the ratio of one’s hips to waist. Finally, do the math.

Well, if they were going to get all crazy about some cartoons, I suppose its to be expected that they’d go nuts over a Playboy Magazine. About 150 Muslims attacked the Playboy offices in Indonesia today and burned copies of the magazine in protest over the local edition (with no nudity) that Playboy released earlier this week.

The protesters smashed several windows and the door and gate at the magazine’s offices in south Jakarta, witnesses said. Several were seen scuffling with police officers guarding the building.

Playboy’s first local edition in a Muslim country went on sale Friday. It features no nudity, and its photos of women in undergarments are less risque than in other magazines already for sale in the country.

Less risque. So why the violence? Well, its an American publication, and we’ve pretty much established that the hard-line Islamists in the Middle East will use any excuse to attack American stuff.

The Federal Government is going thru alot of sex-related workplace problems right now. Between the Homeland Security guy in trouble for solicitation of a child, the US Mint in Denver paying an $8.8 million settlement for sexual harassment and a NASA guy caught with child porn on his computer, it kinda makes us long for the days when bribery and the occassional whacked-out postal worker was all we had to worry about.

Yahoo! has a slideshow of the Playboy magazine release in Indonesia. The version of the magazine released over there is nudity-free. So when they say that they ‘read it for the articles’, they will actually be telling the truth.
