I really liked this poster for Captivity with Elisha Cuthbert. Don’t think I’ve ever seen a similar poster.

You may remember these Saw III blood drive posters that I linked to previously. Well, the Red Cross made them remove the red cross because it was a trademark infringement. Anyway, onward with the new posters.

These vintage sex hygeine posters are great. I’d love to get ahold of some of these and have them framed up. I’d probably have to put them in the garage though, as I doubt that the Mrs. would let me hang them in the house.

Gotta love the comic book style posters for Black Snake Moan. With cast including Christina Ricci, Samuel L. Jackson and Justin Timberlake, I have my doubts about how good it will be, but at least they got the posters right.

So, Saw 3 comes out in late October and just like the previous version, they are running a ‘Blood Drive’ advertisement campaign using hottie nurses.

Its amazing how quickly and how cheaply they can turn out this series of movies. Just goes to show that you don’t have to spend $100m dollars on a horror flick to make it entertaining.

At least the movie, John Tucker Must Die will have one redemming quality – a good poster.

Couple of new cool posters. Apocalypto on the left and the Lex Luthor character poster from the new Superman movie.

It may be a re-make with a thin plot outline:

A couple who never meet each other face to face establish a relationship together over the telephone. A remake of Theo Van Gogh’s “06“.

And it may have a weak male star in Denis Leary.

But dang, you just gotta support a film with a poster like the one below for 1-900 [via JoBlo]

The poster for Casino Royale – the new James Bond film – has been released. Very understated.

The other poster is for Uma Thurman’s Super Ex-Girlfriend, which could be entertaining if its as campy as it looks.

Its also worth mentioning that the official website for A Scanner Darkly was launched. Most interesting movie of the summer as far as I’m concerned.

A handful of new posters for the upcoming film A Scanner Darkly have been released along with a trailer. If you haven’t seen anything about this film, you’ve got to check out the trailer – it looks different than anything I’ve ever seen.

Here is the 4th poster for V For Vendetta. This is easily the best group of posters for a film in a very very long time. Lets hope the film lives up to the poster.

The French poster for The Black Dahlia is a thing of beauty.

Here are a few new posters that I liked. None of these are yet available for purchase, but they will eventually be available from All Posters.

I’m very suprised by the Harry Potter posters I’ve seen, they are really embracing the darker aspects of the Goblet of Fire movie. Glad to see them migrate away from just the kiddie crowd.

The poster on the left for Saw 2 was the original version – but it got smacked down by the MPAA for being too graphic. The poster on the right is the modified version – I actually like it better.
